If You Open Up The Gates For Me
Ugh. It's been a lazy week and a half for me. I had Spring Break and I didn't climb once. I feel somewhat discouraged, a little lazy, and definitely a lot flabbier. I did climb last night and it felt so good to get up on the wall and have it put me in my place... Sadly enough, I was gonna climb this morning and didn't.... GASP!!!!!!!!! What is WRONG with me?!?! Funk? Laziness? Exhaustion? I think it's a little bit of everything. I need some cheering and pushing. Not everyone at once please :)

In the Future, Can't Wait to See
So I'm going to the gym about 4 times a week. And while I'm there, I've noticed one of the biggest complaints I've been hearing is how no one seems to like their chalk bags. It's too small or it's ugly or it's this or that... Which is funny because all it's supposed to do is carry your chalk and maybe a brush for holds... But somehow it's becoming a fashion statement. I am thinking about making chalk bags for people and selling them. They can be custom made or people can just choose from what I make. What do you think I should charge for them? I'm curious to know. If it's a custom bag I would obviously charge more for it, but what should my starting point be? And if anyone wants a certain type of bag, let me know and I'll make it! We can figure out the prices when you let me know what you want :) And yes, if you're gone climbing somewhere, I'll send it to you :)

Wish I Could Turn Back The Hands Of Time
I discovered climbing almost a year ago. Never thought I'd love something so dirty. :) The rush you get is so invigorating. If only everyone loved climbing as much as I do. Think about how helpful and inspiring the world would be!!! Ben Becker got me started on climbing. I was too scared to try but he totally got me psyched for it. He took me all over the place climbing. We went to Wisconsin, South Carolina, and he introduced me to the Red River Gorge and Miguel's :)
I haven't done any lead climbing outside yet. I'm a bit scared to be honest. I don't have the finger strength or endurance that I feel I need to do it. But I'm sure with some coaching from some friends and some self confidence, I'll be just fine!
My fingers are worn and my heel is bloody, so I must take a rest day. But you will see me again!
Hallelujah for Joshua Tree Climbing Salve and Miguel's Pasta Bowls!
